College GameDay has seen some strong ratings over the first few weeks of the 2025 season. That trend started in Week 1 with Lee Corso’s final episode, the most-watched in the show’s history.
It continued in Week 4 with the program in the Sunshine State ahead of Miami‘s contest against Florida at Hard Rock Stadium. According to ESPN’s PR account on X, Week 4’s episode brought in an average of 2.8 million viewers. That’s 33% more than 2024’s Week 4 episode in Norman before Oklahoma vs. Tennessee.
During GameDay’s 11 a.m. ET hour, 3.4 million people tuned in, per ESPN. The episode’s peak viewership was 4.4 million. All told, it ranked as GameDay’s second-highest-rated regular-season episode, a mark that’s been set for a third straight week. For the entire season, the show has seen a 37% increase over the previous year.
And Week 5’s episode in Big Ten country should draw plenty of eyeballs as well.
Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, and Pat McAfee will be rolling into Happy Valley as No. 3 Penn State and No. 6 Oregon meet for what should be an intense White Out game at Beaver Stadium. It’s a rematch of the 2024 B1G Championship Game that the Ducks won 45-37.
