College GameDay, ESPN’s popular college football pregame show, has revealed its destination for Championship Week.
To the surprise of very few, the show will be heading to Atlanta, where No. 1 Georgia will take on No. 3 Alabama in a matchup with major College Football Playoff implications.
GameDay announced its decision via Twitter on Sunday morning:

Alabama is fresh off a 4-overtime win over Auburn in the Iron Bowl. Georgia just shut out rival Georgia Tech 45-0 to finish off a perfect regular season.
Can Alabama pull off the big upset? There are plenty of question marks about the Tide entering this game. The SEC Championship Game will kick off at 4 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday afternoon and can be seen on CBS.
