The Michigan Wolverines began the 2026 campaign with plenty of hype and expectations as former Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham looked to stabilize the program.

Instead, the Big Blue faithful have been disappointed throughout the season, with Saturday’s 15-6 loss at the hands of rivals Michigan State being just the latest head-scratching moment.

Whether it’s been Bryce Underwood or Tommy Carr at quarterback for UM, the team has struggled to manufacture any form of an offensive identity this fall.

And with fans across the country getting in some digs at the Wolverines’ misfortunes, well-documented former assistant Connor Stalions opted to join in on the fun.

Although in reality, he was really just trying to get Whittingham and offensive coordinator Jason Beck in some trouble with the NCAA.

Stalions took to X/Twitter to post a fake screenshot of text messages he’s exchanged with Whittingham, Beck and a host of other notable names. Those range from former Athletic Director Warde Manuel, Ohio State’s Ryan Day, ESPN’s Pete Thamel and the Michigan FOIA Office.

Like many Michigan fans, Stalions is likely fed up with seeing his team continually field sluggish offensive attacks, with the 2026 unit being just the latest example.

And the going won’t be getting any easier, because the stingy defenses of Oregon, UCLA and Ohio State will be eager to feast on Carr & Co. down the stretch.
