The Clemson Tigers are mired in a season to forget, and Dabo Swinney’s nerves are beginning to fray at his team’s level of play.

The Tigers are in the middle of a Saturday slugfest against Duke – a game that was tied 28-28 at halftime. And Swinney, well, he wasn’t pleased at all with his team’s defensive effort.

Here’s a clip of Swinney having some choice words with Clemson players on the sideline:

Clemson (3-4) entered the weekend allowing 337.8 yards and 20.9 points per game but allowed 199 yards and 21 points to the Blue Devils in the first quarter alone. The Clemson defense stiffened somewhat in the second quarter, giving up 53 yards and 7 points – but had just seen Duke receiver Que’Sean Brown haul in a 43-yard touchdown pass from Darian Mensah to tie it up.

Duke does possess one of the stronger offenses in the ACC, rolling up 463.3 yards and 33.9 points per game en route to a 4-3 record coming into Saturday’s action. Swinney is in his 18th season as Clemson’s coach and could be facing his first losing season since the Tigers went 6-7 in 2010.

The Tigers need 3 wins in their last 5 games to make a bowl game for the 21st straight season.
