Dallas Turner comments on hit that took Quinn Ewers out of Alabama-Texas

Dallas Turner earned a roughing the passer penalty for his hit that ended up injuring Texas star quarterback Quinn Ewers.

In all reality, there’s little Turner could have done to prevent it. He was making a football play, landed on Ewers and he unfortunately was injured.

Turner spoke on the incident Tuesday. He stated that he never intended to hurt Ewers – it was just a football play, and he has reached out to him in the meantime.

“Honestly, it was no intent to hurt Quinn Ewers, honestly,” Turner said. “I feel like he’s a good quarterback, and I hope he has a very speedy recovery. But it was just a QB hit, and that’s how I looked at it. No intent to hurt him or nothing like that. No dirty play, nothing.”
