Dan Mullen had some bold words in the ESPN studio regarding the upcoming Florida-Georgia matchup.

During halftime of the South Carolina-Texas A&M game with Matt Barrie and Joey Galloway, Mullen explained why he’s picked the Gators to win Saturday in Jacksonville, and why Georgia is not in his College Football Playoff top 4 entering the first rankings reveal on Tuesday.

Mullen has consistently kept Georgia out of the top 4, as he did after Week 7.

Dan Mullen: I think anybody can win this game because of the rivalry part of it coming in. The stadiumโ€™s split right down the middle. Itโ€™s an amazing atmosphere.

Joey Galloway: Are you saying Florida can win this game?

Dan Mullen: Florida absolutely can win, I think Florida does win.

Joey Galloway: Excuse me?

Dan Mullen: Florida does win.

Joey Galloway: This will be interesting for Tuesday, you mentioned the (Playoff) rankings coming out. Because the committee has to want to see what Georgia looks like without Brock Bowers.

Dan Mullen: I already think theyโ€™re not (in the top 4). Somebody else is going to have to lose. I think theyโ€™re not in.
Mullen believes that the Bulldogs will not be ranked as one of the top four teams in the nation when the College Football Playoff rankings are revealed at 7 ET on Tuesday.

Former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray had an interesting response to Mullen’s take as well.
