Dane Key has an eye on history, and following Kentucky’s win over Florida on Saturday, the up-and-coming wide receiver recreated Kash Daniels’ iconic water bottle smash in Gainesville.

Key, a freshman from Lexington, had a big night for the Wildcats with 3 catches for 83 yards and a touchdown, including a 55-yard catch that went to the house.

The original water bottle smash came 4 years ago by Daniels, who led the celebration at the time when the Wildcats shocked Florida, 27-16. Daniel let out a primal roar and crushing double-fisted drenching of himself with two bottles. It was all a nod to the signature line of wrestling star Stone Cold Steve Austin, โ€œand thatโ€™s the bottom line.โ€

Key and Daniel are both native Kentuckians, and Daniels had plenty to celebrate as UK at the time ended the 31-game losing streak to the Gators.

This time, UK bounced back from an early sub-par effort last week against Miami-Ohio, while Florida came off a huge win over No. 7 Utah.
