Danny Kanell reveals updated top 12 following Week 9 action

CBS Sports college football analyst and former Florida State quarterback Danny Kanell checked in Sunday with his weekly top 12 rankings after the Week 9 slate.
Calling the list the “most deserving ranking out there”, Kanell has consensus No. 1 Ohio State atop his ledger as well, with new-school Big 10 power Indiana at No. 2 and fellow unbeaten Texas A&M at No. 3.
From there, well, Kanell deviates from the AP and Coaches Poll rankings – placing 8-0 BYU and 8-0 Georgia Tech at 4 and 5 presumably because they are both unbeaten despite playing less strenuous schedules to date. The Cougars downed Iowa State 41-27 on Saturday and only sport a 3-point win against then-No. 23 Utah as their lone Top 25 victory so far. The Yellow Jackets were idle over the weekend and only have a 3-point win against then-No. 12 Clemson to their credit.
Kanell ranks SEC powers Alabama at No. 8, Georgia at No. 9, Ole Miss at No. 10 and Vanderbilt at No. 11.
