Danny Kanell is no stranger to trolling the SEC, and the former Florida State QB is already in midseason form this year.

On Saturday morning, after ESPN’s College GameDay ran a segment on North Carolina and South Carolina fans both using “Carolina” to refer to their schools, Kanell took to social media to pull a Lee Corso and say “not so fast, my friend.”

As you can see below, Kanell says no one thinks of the Gamecocks when they hear “Carolina.” He added that no one thinks of South Carolina when they hear “USC” either:

Obviously, South Carolina fans lay claim to both nicknames. We’ll see who earns bragging rights on Saturday night.

North Carolina owns the all-time rivalry over South Carolina, 35-20-4. But the Gamecocks have won 4 of 5 matchups that have taken place since 2000.

Who will win on Saturday? Tune in to ABC at 7:30 p.m. ET to catch all the action from Charlotte.
