Darius Gray is headed to South Carolina.

The 5-star offensive lineman made that announcement on Friday evening, choosing the Gamecocks over other SEC foes such as LSU and Tennessee. Clemson and Ohio State are also among the top programs who have shown serious interest in Gray during his recruitment.

“Gamecock nation I’m home,” Gray said, via Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.

Gray is a massive pickup for Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks. He’s the No. 30 overall player and the No. 2 interior offensive lineman in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Prior to making this announcement, Gray was also the only 5-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite who had not yet committed to a program.

Gray is listed at 6-foot-3, 285 pounds. He attends St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, Virginia. South Carolina has been recruiting him for years — his initial offer came away back in the summer of 2022.

Gray is now the highest-ranked prospect in South Carolina’s 2026 high school class, which now stands at 15 members. The group ranks No. 22 nationally, per the 247Sports Composite.
