Darnell Wright has been a key piece to Tennessee’s offensive turnaround under coach Josh Heupel.
He and his fellow offensive linemen have done a great job keeping QB Hendon Hooker upright the past 2 seasons and have cleared the way for RB Jabari Small and the Vols’ other running backs.
Like many other top prospects, Wright announced this week that he’s declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft. But, unlike many others, Wright also revealed that he will take the field for the Vols in the Orange Bowl:
Can't thank @Vol_Football enough it's been a hell of a time. To all my teammates that helped me get to this point can't thank y'all enough and to the fans that believed in us along the way I'm happy to say I left it better than I found it #GBO pic.twitter.com/os1YUO4KwG

Playing in the bowl game will be big for Wright and the Vols. Now QB Joe Milton, who took over for the injured Hendon Hooker, will have a trusted lineman blocking for him.
The Orange Bowl against Clemson is set to kick off at 8 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, Dec. 30, and can be seen on ESPN.
