Dave Aranda has done a great job at Baylor in 2 years at the helm of the program.

This past year, Aranda led the Bears to the Big 12 title and also took down Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl.

Now, despite Aranda’s name being linked to big-time jobs like LSU and USC this offseason, it seems he’s staying put in Waco. The Bears announced that Aranda’s contract had been extended through the 2029 season on Tuesday:

Baylor is a private school, so financial terms of the contract were not released.

Aranda will have another strong team returning to Baylor this fall. He seems to be thriving in Waco, so we’ll see if he remains at the school through the duration of this new contract extension.

If he continues to have success, you can bet his name will be brought up in rumors surrounding other big jobs that open up in the coming years.
