The College Football Playoff should have plenty of intrigue this season as parity is reigning supreme this season. College football analyst David Pollack is taking a shot at predicting field and dropped his latest projections on Monday during his See Ball Get Ball podcast.
Pollack has Indiana at the top, followed by Ohio State, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Oregon, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, BYU, Ole Miss, and Memphis.
Based on Pollack’s list, there would be 5 SEC teams in the CFP, which leads all conferences.
Undefeated Indiana is coming off a 56-6 rout vs. visiting UCLA. Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza passed for 168 yards and 3 touchdowns while also rushing for 45 yards and a score.
Undefeated Ohio State had a bye week last weekend after blanking host Wisconsin 34-0. Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin completed 36 of his 42 passes for 393 yards and 4 touchdowns. Ohio State held Wisconsin’s offense to just 49 passing yards.
Undefeated Texas A&M beat host LSU 49-25, which capped off head coach Brian Kelly’s time with the Tigers. Marcel Reed had 2 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing scores.
Alabama extended its winning streak to 7 games after notching a 29-22 win at South Carolina. Alabama rallied from down 8 in the fourth quarter behind a pair of late touchdowns from Germie Bernard: a 4-yard reception with 2:16 left and a 25-yard run with 34 seconds remaining.
The first CFP bracket will be released on Nov. 4.
