Deion Sanders revealed in July that the private health scare he had gone through earlier in the year was a bladder cancer diagnosis. Thankfully, the Colorado head coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer is cancer-free after doctors ultimately decided to remove his bladder altogether and put a new one in.
That will come with some lifestyle changes for Sanders, who told Buffaloes fans not to be surprised if they saw a portable toilet on the Colorado sideline from here on out.
As the Buffs kick off the 2025 season at home against Georgia Tech, that’s exactly what we’ll get. As you can see below, USA Today’s Brent Schrotenboer posted a photo of a Depend-sponsored portable toilet on the Buffs’ sideline:
On the field, Sanders and the Buffs will look to get off to a quick start in their first game in the post-Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter era. Though the Big 12 opted not to release a preseason poll in 2025, there’s understandably plenty of skepticism around Colorado without two of the best players in program history. It ranks 44th in ESPN’s preseason FPI.
Colorado and Georgia Tech kick off from Boulder at 8 p.m. ET. It’s the first-ever meeting between the two programs that split the 1990 college football championship.
