Former LSU defensive back Derrick Davis Jr. announced Tuesday that he is heading for the ACC, back to his hometown school Pitt to play under Pat Narduzzi.

Davis also spent some time at running back towards the back end of the season for the Tigers. He totaled 57 rushing yards with 1 touchdown this season.

Davis has appeared in 7 games as a defensive back for the Tigers, totaling 6 tackles. he spent the majority of the 2021 season on special teams for LSU.

Pitt should be a good fit for the former 4-star defensive back. The Panthers opened the season ranked and made things interesting in the latter half of the season, finishing the year with a 5-game winning steak and a 9-4 record. They are currently ranked No. 22 in the final AP poll of the year.
