Jaylen Waddle followed in the footsteps of many great Alabama players to become a legend on the field in Tuscaloosa, now he’s following the lead of some more Crimson Tide standouts as Nike representatives in the NFL.

Nike found a cool way to announce Waddle’s first partnership with the company as fellow Alabama veterans and Nike members Derrick Henry and Amari Cooper took the time to welcome Waddle to the Nike team by offering up video shoutouts to the young receiver.

Waddle is expected to be a first-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft after catching 106 passes for 1,999 yards and 17 touchdowns in his three seasons in Tuscaloosa.

Of course, Waddle’s numbers would have been even more impressive had he not suffered a broken ankle against Tennessee back on Oct. 24.

Despite the tough injury, Waddle worked his way back on to the field for the national championship game and managed to catch three passes for 34 yards in Alabama’s 52-24 win over Ohio State.
