For the past 10 years, the Alabama Crimson Tide have had Tennessee’s number, winning the annual SEC East-West rivalry game each year.

The two squads are set to play again on Saturday afternoon, and the result should once again favor Alabama, as the No. 1 Crimson Tide will take on a Volunteers team that has struggled mightily in recent weeks.

Speaking with reporters at his locker, Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry — a former Alabama star — said he expects the Crimson Tide’s run of dominance to continue. At the 4:00 mark of this video on TitansOnline.com, he said he thinks the Tide will be smoking victory cigars once again:

“I never lost to Tennessee,”ย Henry said. “But I expect it to be a good game. It always is. That’s a big rivalry for us. For me, I expect us to be smoking cigars after it’s over.”

However, he added that the records don’t matter when the two rivals take the field, saying Alabama can’t underestimate the Vols:

“That game is always good, so you never underestimate Tennessee by their record and how many wins and losses they have,”ย Henry said. “They’re a good team, and like I said, that’s always a good game. It’s a traditional game, but like I said, I expect us to have the cigars at the end of the game.”

Saturday afternoon’s East-West rivalry game kicks off at 2:30 p.m. Central time and can be seen on CBS.
