New Auburn receiver Eric Singleton and freshman quarterback Deuce Knight appear to be developing some good chemistry during fall camp.

Auburn football posted a video of that duo connecting for a perfect touchdown pass during practice on Sunday morning. Knight put the ball where only Singleton could get it and the former Georgia Tech wide receiver was just barely able to haul it in.

Here’s a video of the moment:

Singleton was arguably Auburn’s biggest transfer addition of the offseason. He’s set to start for Auburn this season after enjoying a breakout season at Georgia Tech in 2024. Singleton headlines a loaded wide receiver room that also includes former 5-star Cam Coleman.

Knight is expected to begin the 2025 season as Auburn’s backup quarterback behind Jackson Arnold. However, Knight could supplant Arnold at some point in 2025 if the former Oklahoma transfer struggles as he did in Norman last season. Knight is a true freshman, but was one of the highest-rated quarterbacks in the country for his recruiting cycle.

Auburn has just a few weeks to go before the start of the 2025 season. The Tigers will open up on the road against Baylor in Week 1.
