Our Week 9 College Football Picks
Andrew Olson
Drake Maye, North Carolina: Higher than 290.5 passing yards
Explosive plays in the passing game have been a constant for Maye and the Tar Heels this season. October’s Very Own finishes out the month with a big game to get UNC back on track in Atlanta.
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, Georgia: Higher than 39.5 receiving yards
Rosemy-Jacksaint is a Florida native who memorably visited UF days before committing to Georgia. The Bulldogs are looking for someone to step up in the passing game in the absence of Brock Bowers. Rosemy-Jacksaint fills the void, breaking Gator hearts again.
Trevor Etienne, Florida: Higher than 0.5 rushing+receiving TDs
The annual meeting in Jacksonville is all about having a good time and making memories – depending on just how many cocktails are downed at the party. (Sources say yours truly had quite a 21st birthday celebration at The Landing back when Urban Meyer made sure to use every timeout.)
If Florida can somehow pull off the upset, it will be remembered by Gator Nation for ages. To beat Georgia, it’s going to take a stud stepping up. If Etienne follows big bro’s lead and balls out at The Bank, the Gators have a fighting chance.

Carson Beck, Georgia: Higher than 267.5 passing yards
Carson Beck went into Jordan-Hare Stadium and threw for 318 yards. He passed for nearly 400 yards against Kentucky. I like his chances of hitting 268+ yards through the air at the Cocktail Party in Jacksonville against a tough, but not up to the same level as Georgia, Florida squad. Even without TE Brock Bowers, Beck and the Georgia passing game should have a solid afternoon.
Dominic Lovett, Georgia: Higher than 42.5 receiving yards
Speaking of Bowers being out, someone needs to step up in the Georgia receiving corps to fill his shoes. It’s time for Dominic Lovett to show why he was an all-SEC receiver at Mizzou last year. Of all Georgia’s receivers not named “Brock Bowers,” Lovett has the most receptions (31). He’s only averaging 9.1 yards per catch, though. Look for him to get the chance to break free a few times on Saturday.
Joe Milton III, Tennessee: Higher than 232.5 passing yards
Milton hasn’t had a great year for the Vols, but he still manages to move the ball through the air more often than not. He had 271 passing yards at Bryant-Denny Stadium last weekend, to go with 2 TDs and 0 interceptions. He’s had 233+ passing yards in 2 of his last 3 games, so I expect him to make it 3 of 4 in a must-win game for Tennessee at Kentucky on Saturday night.
Our Week 8 NFL Picks

Travis Etienne, Jacksonville Jaguars: Higher than 60.5 rushing yards
Fantasy players know that TD streaks come and go, so I’m staying away from the touchdown pick. But I like both Etienne brothers to deliver some pre-Halloween treats. While Trevor is in Jacksonville, Travis is facing a Pittsburgh defense that has had issues with missed tackles and giving up yards after contact.
Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins: Higher than 276.5 passing yards
For the first time this season, Tagovailoa has thrown for under 265 yards in back-to-back weeks. The Patriots held Tagovailoa to 249 passing yards back in September. Tagovailoa is due for a big game, and I like the Miami offense to have made some adjustments for Round 2 against the Pats.
Adam Spencer
Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams: Higher than 257.5 passing yards
Kyren Williams is still out for the Rams, so the running back situation is unsettled. Heading into a game against the Dallas Cowboys, expect Stafford to throw early and often. Since the Cowboys are without star CB Trevon Diggs, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua could have big games and help Stafford throw for close to 300 yards.
Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: Higher than 1.5 passing TDs
Our second former SEC QB here. Hurts has been having a strong season, but has only had 2+ passing TDs in 1 of his last 3 games. That will change in a big way at Washington on Sunday. I expect Hurts to have a massive performance, throwing for 3+ scores and hitting the “higher” option by halftime.
