One of the fastest rising stars in college football over the past couple of seasons has been Vanderbilt Commodores quarterback Diego Pavia, who vaulted into the national spotlight when he led the Commodores to a massive win over a No. 1-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide squad in 2024.

Since that fateful game, Pavia has seen a meteoric rise to fame that has made him the most recognizable Vandy player in what seems like forever, and this newfound fame has allowed Pavia to rub elbows with some pretty prominent pop culture figures.

One of these figures is none other than star comedian and podcaster Theo Von, who Pavia apparently promised to hook up with his own mom following the Commodore’s win over No. 11 South Carolina this past Saturday.

Von was on the sideline for the matchup between the Gamecocks and the Commodores, and ESPN’s Cole Cubelic asked him about the deal between himself and Pavia, and Von confirmed that the deal had indeed been made between the two.

Well, Pavia and Vandy knocked off South Carolina, but according to the star Commodores’ gunslinger, there was a bit more to the bargain than Von initially reported.

Pavia posted on his personal X account that he only agreed to help Von get a date with his mom if Von helped to set up a date between Pavia and star singer/songwriter Tate McRae.

It appears that Von’s hopes of finding love will come down to whether or not he can get McRae to agree to a date with Vandy’s star QB, so he has some work to do if he wants to realize his fairy tale love story with Ms. Pavia.
