Diego Pavia has taken college football by storm since he put on a Vanderbilt uniform last year, and that magic has continued in 2025.

It was on full display last Saturday in Nashville when the 24-year-old signal-caller did just about everything a quarterback could in leading the Commodores to a 55-35 victory over Utah State. Pavia completed 26 of 34 passes for 321 yards and 5 touchdowns with just 1 interception, and he led his team in rushing, too, with 79 yards on just 9 carries and 1 TD.

Pavia’s heroics helped No. 16 Vanderbilt to its first 5-0 start since 2008, and he was rewarded on Tuesday by being named the Walter Camp Football Foundation Offensive National Player of the Week. It was the latest heroic performance of the season for Pavia, who has thrown for 1,211 yards and 13 touchdowns with only 3 interceptions so far this fall.

The Walter Camp Football social media account celebrated Pavia and Curry with this post:

Vanderbilt and Alabama will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
