DJ Lagway has had his issues with interceptions throughout the season, with his worst game being against LSU when he threw five interceptions. He was on that kind of pace on Saturday night against Kentucky, when he threw three interceptions in the first half.

Florida fans were calling for Lagway to be benched, and Gators interim coach Billy Gonzales decided to make the move to backup quarterback Tramell Jones Jr.

Lagway on the season has now thrown 12 interceptions on the season, compared to only 11 touchdowns. It has been an up-and-down season for Lagway.

Jones played in the season-opener against LIU, as he was 12-of-18 for 131 yards and two touchdowns.

The Gators are trying to earn a bowl berth, but the schedule is not doing them any favors. Their next two games are at Ole Miss, and then at home against the Tennessee Volunteers before the season-finale against Florida State.

There is going to be a new coach in Gainesville next year, and could there be a new quarterback as well?
