Donte Jackson, former LSU CB, signs new multi-year deal with the Panthers

Donte Jackson is staying with the Carolina Panthers. The team announced Saturday that Jackson has re-signed after recently entering free agency.
Jackson is coming off of an impressive 2021 season with the Panthers. Despite missing the final 5 games due to a groin injury, Jackson had a team-high 10 passes defended, tying for the team lead in interceptions with 2.
Jackson played at LSU from 2015-to-17, earning second-team All-SEC and All-America recognition in his final season with the Tigers. The Panthers used the No. 55 pick to select Jackson in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. In 4 seasons, Jackson has logged 209 total tackles, 38 passes defended and 12 interceptions, playing in 55 games (51 starts).
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reports that it is a 3-year, $35.1 million deal for Jackson.
