Ed Orgeron explains what motivates LSU in final 2 games, points to staff growing pains
Now that the LSU Tigers have lost close games to both Alabama and Arkansas, what is the Tigers motivation heading into the last two games of the season against LA Monroe and Texas A&M? Head coach Ed Orgeron seemed to have an answer for that when he appeared on “Off the Bench” Wednesday morning.
โI want our Tigers to win,โ he said. โIn the locker room, we say take it one game at a time. The next game is UL-Monroe, we want to win, and you know what, I want our guys to get better. A lot of our guys are going into the NFL, theyโre putting their craft on the field. I want them to play good. Maybe they can up their draft choice, whatever it may be. But whatever it takes, we want to win the football game.โ
Orgeron also talked about his coordinators and what they had to deal with this year.
โGrowing pains. We all have growing pains in our career,โ Orgeron said. โThese guys are dedicated, very smart. I get here at 6 oโclock in the morning, theyโre here. Get here on Saturday morning, theyโre working out, theyโre working, theyโre trying, theyโre both good men and I think both of them have a very bright future. But right now weโve just got to get better with some of the things weโre doing.”
LSU will face UL-Monroe Saturday night in Baton Rouge.
