Erin Andrews is used to breaking down what happens on football fields, college and NFL alike.
The 47-year-old Florida graduate has been a high-profile sports analyst for a quarter-century, and she’s showed off her talents at a lot of stops, including at ESPN and FOX. These days, Andrews hosts a podcast with fellow longtime broadcaster Charissa Thompson that’s called the Calm Down with Erin and Charissa.
And on Monday night’s edition, Andrews and Thompson had a little special something to share with their audience. They revealed that they had been on a secret vacation with international singing sensation Taylor Swift. Yes, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was also present on the vacation, as were Andrews’ and Thompson’s significant others. But Andrews wanted everyone to know about what it was like spending time with Swift.
During the podcast on Monday night, a listener had a question and Andrews decided to divulge what her time with Swift was like. A listener shared a post with the clip of Andrews talking about the special vacation.
“We’re so protective of them and their privacy and what they deserve,” Andrews said, per Awful Announcing. “So, that’s why we never said anything or never planned on saying anything. … No joke, that’s 1 of my favorite photos from the trip that we all took together. So, yeah, I’ll echo it. (Swift) is a 20 out of 20. She just is. She is so much fun. And I will say this, our group, the 6 of us, we had some fun. Wow. A time. A good, good group. We love them. We are happy for them. And now we are happy to report back that the long-awaited meeting did, in fact, happen and it exceeded expectations because she is as advertised and a whole lot more.”
Andrews has had a lot of special moments in her broadcasting career interviewing athletes at big-time events. Now, she’s got incredible memories from an event that had nothing to do with sports, even if it involved a famous athlete.
