Every Sunday morning, popular ESPN analyst Booger McFarland takes to Twitter to share his thoughts on that week’s college football action.
Following yesterday’s exciting opening Saturday of games, the SEC Network commentator had plenty of thoughts about the SEC teams that took part in the action.
From Alabama to Vanderbilt, here’s what McFarland liked and what he didn’t like from yesterday’s slate of games:
Alabama- defense blitzed more but as good as ever, Hurts still struggles as a passer, still most physical team in country and clear #1

Florida- soft on both lines, qb issues again for McElwain, suspensions hurt but were not the deciding factor. I'd play Franks rest of year

LSU- defense nasty as always , even w/out so many players, offense looked different but still run heavy I like that,LSU cant lose physicality

Auburn- mixed reviews on Stidham. He has to be better. Defense will again be a strength, would've liked to see a more physical running game

S Carolina- Bentley is the truth, Samuel reminds me so much of Pharoah Cooper, more importantly defense was SOOO much better 4 sacks ??????

Vandy- one of the more compete performances in SEC yesterday. Looked good on all levels Love the direction Mason is going

Missouri- video game offense, youth football league defense. Same story different year. Lock might be best pure passer in America

Georgia- no Eason no problem , Fromm is every bit as good, run game will lead the way , didn't think oline played well, big test against ND
— Booger (@ESPNBooger) September 3, 2017
Ole miss – good win for Matt Luke, kids played hard,Patterson still tried to do too much but I guess he has to, defense looked a hair better

Arkansas played on Thursday, Texas A&M plays Sunday and Tennessee plays Monday night, so there is still plenty of SEC action that didn’t happen on Saturday.
As the season moves forward, McFarland will continue to share his Sunday morning thoughts, just with more of the conference covered.
