Alabama will be without coach Nick Saban on Saturday against Georgia. However, ESPN analyst David Pollack is still confident the Crimson Tide has the offensive firepower to counter a dominant Bulldogs defense.
Pollack was effusive in his praise of the Alabama offense recently on his podcast — The CFB Podcast with Herbie, Pollack and Negandhi.
โMost complete (offense), this offensive line is the best itโs been in a couple of years,โ Pollack said in a quote transcribed by 247Sports.ย โNajee Harris is the best heโs been, and heโs arguing for the best back in the country. His development over the years has been really cool. When he got to Alabama, he was 6-foot-3, 245 and already a freak. But he didnโt have a clue how to hit a hole. He didnโt have a clue how to set up blocks. Heโs super developed now, knows how to sit on blocks and be patient. Great receiver out of the backfield. Heโs really developed.โ
The senior Harris is off to a hot start so far, amassing 347 yards and an eye-popping 10 touchdowns.
Overall, the Alabama offense is averaging a blistering 51 points this season under new starting QB Mac Jones.
The Crimson Tide will be squaring off against a Georgia defense allowing just 12.3 points per game. This much anticipated SEC showdown will go a long ways in the College Football Playoff race. It’ll be fascinating to witness how everything plays out under the primetime lights on Saturday.
