ESPNโ€™s Football Power Index (FPI) sees some potential tough sledding for anย Arkansasย program that is trying to become relevant in theย SECย andย College Football Playoffย discussion this fall.

Arkansas is ushering in a new era as former Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield is now coaching in Fayetteville. Silverfield has shown throughout his coaching career that he is able to build a legitimate contender, but it might take some for him to get things rolling at Arkansas.

ESPN’s FPI thinks it will be a tough year. Right now, the Razorbacks are favored in only two games this season. Here is the game-by-game breakdown by the FPI:

– Sept 5: North Alabama Lions | 98.9% chance to win

– Sept 12: Utah Utes | 28.9% chance to win

– Sept 19: Georgia Bulldogs | 9.8% chance to win

– Sept 26: Tulsa Golden Hurricane | 86.8% chance to win

– Oct 3: Texas A&M Aggies | 9.7% chance to win

– Oct 10: Tennessee Volunteers | 26.5% chance to win

– Oct 17: Vanderbilt Commodores | 30.0% chance to win

– Oct 31: Missouri Tigers | 32.9% chance to win

– Nov 7: Auburn Tigers | 22.5% chance to win

– Nov 14: South Carolina Gamecocks | 35.9% chance to win

– Nov 21: Texas Longhorns | 4.5% chance to win

– Nov 28: LSU Tigers | 16.1% chance to win

As you can see above, Arkansas kicks off its 2026 season on Sept. 5 against North Alabama.
