The Auburn Tigers will travel to Kyle Field to take on the No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. ESPN’s FPI has weighed in on the teams’ win probabilities.
In their latest game, quarterback Jackson Arnold and the Tigers lost to John Mateer and the Sooners in a 24-17 game. While the Tigers didn’t come out with a win, they proved to college football fans that they can hang with any team in the country on any given day. With a couple of calls going the other way, Auburn wins the game against Oklahoma.
Arnold played a solid game, completing 21 of his 32 passes for 220 yards and 1 touchdown. Wide receiver Cam Coleman proved he’s one of the top receivers in the nation with a 3-catch, 88-yard, and 1-touchdown performance. It was Arnold’s offensive line that let him down, allowing 10 sacks against Oklahoma.
The offensive line will need to be much better against the Aggies, who have 9 sacks in their 3 games this season. Defensive end Cashius Howell leads the Aggies with 3 sacks.
No. 9 Texas A&M is coming off a bye week after a 41-40 win over Notre Dame in its latest game. Sophomore quarterback Marcel Reed has been electric this year, totaling 869 yards and 9 touchdowns through 3 games. He will need to be on his game if the Aggies want to beat the Tigers this weekend.
ESPN’s FPI is giving the Aggies a 68.4% chance at winning this weekend over the Tigers. However, the FPI still gives Auburn a 31.6% chance to pull off the upset victory.
