ESPN’s FPI is out for each FBS program, measuring the percentage chance each has of winning the College Football Playoff. Along with it comes the most-anticipated games of the 2025 season based on the metric.

The SEC takes 3 of the top 5 slots. Texas, with a 22.2 percent chance of winning the title, is at No. 1, while Georgia (17.5 percent) and Alabama (10.4 percent) are No. 2 and No. 5, respectively. Tennessee (10th, 2.3 percent) is the only other SEC team in the Top 10.

The Longhorns and Bulldogs meet on Nov. 15, a game that projects to be one of the blockbusters of the season. And it’s atop ESPN’s most anticipated games based on FPI ratings with a 99.3 game quality score. The Longhorns are involved in the No. 2 rated game, its season opener at Ohio State on Aug. 30, which has a 98.9 game quality score.

The 3rd- and 4th-ranked games are SEC league affairs. Alabama at Georgia, scheduled for Sept. 27, has a 97.6 quality score. Georgia at Tennessee, set for Sept. 13, is at 96.2.

Meanwhile, the 5th-rated game, a Big Ten contest, is Penn State at Ohio State (Nov. 1; 96.1 quality score).
