Selection Sunday for the 2021 NCAA Tournament is just over a month away (March 14), so it’s time for teams on the bubble to make their moves toward securing 1 of the 68 spots in March Madness.
On Tuesday, ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi released his latest projections, and he has 6 SEC squads making the field of 68.
As you can see below, he has Alabama as a No. 2 seed, sharing a region with No. 1 overall seed Gonzaga:
- Alabama — No. 2 seed (Region 1)
- Mizzou — No. 3 seed (Region 2)
- Tennessee — No. 4 seed (Region 3)
- Florida — No. 7 seed (Region 3)
- Arkansas — No. 9 seed (Region 4)
- LSU — No. 10 seed (Region 2)
Lunardi has LSU as 1 of the “last 4 byes,” so the Tigers need to finish strong to keep their spot. We’ll see what happens down the stretch of the SEC season.
