It’s going to be a long season for NC State fans.

The Wolfpack, led by QB CJ Bailey, are being trounced by the Virginia Cavaliers to start the 2026 season. The Hoos, led by Mizzou transfer Beau Pribula, are dominating NC State’s defensive front and enter halftime with a 17-0 lead. Virginia has so far rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown, and the Cavs’ defense has taken advantage of 2 early turnovers by Bailey — 1 interception and 1 lost fumble.

Not exactly what Wolfpack fans want to see from a head coach entering Year 14 at NC State.
