Fans, media roast Bill Belichick for Carolina’s offensive struggles after opening TD

Bill Belichick’s college football coaching debut got off to a strong start, then things quickly took a turn south.

On the opening possession, Belichick’s UNC squad marched down the field for a touchdown to take a 7-0. Since that 7-play, 83-yard drive, the Tar Heels struggled to do much right. UNC had 3 possessions result in negative yardage and then quarterback Gio Lopez threw a pick-6 that extended TCU’s lead in Chapel Hill to 17-7 after the extra point.

On social media, fans and media members are joking about how long Belichick will tolerate his offense’s issues and what he might do to “fix” the Tar Heels. Here’s a sample of what people are saying:
