Finebaum rants that Jim Harbaugh has ‘hijacked college football’

Most SEC fans are sick of hearing about Jim Harbaugh.
Between his bowl win against the Gators, spring break trip to Florida, sleepovers with recruits, Twitter blast of Tennessee Butch Jones and satellite camp plans that caused the NCAA to change its rules, the second-year Michigan coach has been in the SEC news cycle quite a bit in 2016.
SEC Network personality Paul Finebaum, who prides himself on being the ringleader of the SEC media circus, has finally had enough.
He went into rant mode during his show on Tuesday afternoon, and 247Sports’ Brad Crawford transcribed some of Finebaum’s beef with Harbaugh:
“Once again, Jim Harbaugh has hijacked college football. I think he’s been an entertaining entrant to college football since he arrived at Michigan, but that was then. I find him growingly and increasingly annoying now. From entertaining to annoying is quite a drop-off. What he has done today (Tuesday), pushes this story from interesting and entertaining to downright ridiculous.
“He used language in his interview with Sports Illustrated talking about helping thousands and thousands of kids that simply doesn’t make a lick of sense. His satellite tour was ground-breaking, but it was also about Jim Harbaugh and promoting the brand of Michigan football, but mostly look at me, I’m Jim Harbaugh and I’m taking my shirt off. Not once did he ever beat Nick Saban for player or Hugh Freeze, but that hasn’t stopped him from taking shots.”
Finebaum concluded by determining that Harbaugh has gone from the most entertaining coach in college football to the most annoying one after just one season.
We won’t disagree with that assessment.
