Florida is still adding to the 2025 recruiting class and picked up a key addition late from a player originally committed to Tennessee and Josh Heupel.
On Tuesday, 4-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny flipped his pledge away from the Vols. The French native who also spent time in London before moving to the US has a multi-sport background with performances in soccer and track and field.
Instead of heading to Knoxville, he is now joining a key recruiting class for Billy Napier and the Gators:
According to the 247 Sports Composite, Konanbanny is a 4-star recruit and the 35th CB nationally for the 2025 recruiting class. He was also rated the No. 8 player out of South Carolina for the cycle.

Impact for Florida
Konanbanny joins a recruiting class for Florida that ranks No. 7 nationally per the 247 Sports Team Composite. Florida had 19 players from that group already enroll, including 5-star WR Fernell Brown III.
Overall, the Gators have 5 prospects from the top 100 players in the country for 2025, and Konanbanny is the 16th recruit with a 4-star rating or better for Napier’s staff in this cycle. It’s a nice group to solidify the roster heading into a crucial 2025 campaign.
