Coach Mike White looks to have an additional roster spot to fill at Florida following a report that Noah Locke is looking for a change of scenery and has entered the transfer portal.

Known for his 3-point shooting, Locke set Florida’s freshman record with 81 made 3-pointers, then made 79 made 3-pointers in the shortened 2019-20 campaign. This past season for the Gators, Locke had a season-high 19 points against West Virginia, and he also had a season-high of 5 3-pointers against Stetson. He averaged 10 points and 29 minutes per game, and led the team with a 40 percent 3-point shooting percentage.

Matt Zenitz of AL.com reported the news and noted that Locke was a starter each of the last 3 years. A 6-foot-3, 203-pound guard out of Baltimore, Maryland (McDonogh), Locke came to Florida after he scored 2,350 points in high school.

Lockes departure is after backup guard Ques Glover also reportedly entered the transfer portal, and star point guard Tre Mann left the program to enter the NBA Draft.

In the loss to Oral Roberts, which ended Florida’s season at 15-10, Locke had 17 points in 31 minutes with 4 rebounds, on 7-for-11 shooting from the field, and 3-for-7 from 3.
