The Florida Gators travel to Hard Rock Stadium to take on their rivals, the No. 4 Miami Hurricanes. For Florida, it will likely be without its starting defensive end George Gumbs Jr. and defensive tackle Michai Boireau, per Pete Thamel. These injuries are in addition to standout defensive lineman Caleb Banks.
Gumbs is listed as doubtful for the game against Miami. He did travel with the team and will attempt to play, but is likely going to be out. Boireau will not play today, as he did not travel with the team.
Florida will need others to step up in their absence, as they will be looking to avoid their 3rd straight loss after dropping the last two games to USF and LSU.
Miami is favored by more than a touchdown at many top books going into its game against Florida. Florida quarterback DJ Lagway struggled in his last game, throwing 5 interceptions against LSU. Florida will need Lagway to be on top of his game if it wants a chance to knock off Carson Beck and undefeated Miami at home.
Florida may lean on running back Jadan Baugh to help relieve some of the pressure Lagway will face from this Miami defense. Baugh has rushed for 243 yards so far this season.
Kickoff for Miami versus Florida is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
