The Florida Gators got the National Signing Day party started Wednesday morning by announcing the SEC’s first signee.
Billy Napier and his robust coaching and support staff have worked overtime to play catchup ahead of signing day, and it has worked. The Gators may be in for an impressive finish Wednesday. Florida is ranked in the top 20 for the 2022 recruiting class.
Three-star edge rusher Jack Pyburn signed with the Gators early Wednesday after committing to Florida on Tuesday over offers from Miami and Auburn. The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Jacksonville, Florida, native is ranked as the nation’s No. 36 edge rusher and the state of Florida’s No. 55 overall prospect for the 2022 recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite Ranking.
