Florida graduate transfer Adam Shuler announces he’s been accepted into school
Breathe easy Florida fans, Adam Shuler has been accepted into the program.
The graduate transfer defensive end from West Virginia announced in early June he planned to finish his collegiate career in Gainesville after appearing in 24 games over the previous two seasons for the Mountaineers. He registered 37 tackles and three sacks a season ago. In total, he has 71 tackles, 10 tackles-for-loss and four sacks in his college career.
However, those plans were temporarily put on hold as his status was ruled “uncertain” just a few weeks ago. When Florida announced jersey numbers for all players heading into fall camp, Shuler was not listed among the numbers assigned. Any concerns can now be put to bed, however, as Shuler announced he has been accepted into school on Wednesday.
Here is the tweet Shuler released:

It remains to be seen how Shuler will fit in the transition to Todd Grantham’s defensive system this season but he fits the build of a versatile defender that could contribute at many different positions in the team’s front seven. Shuler has two seasons of college eligibility remaining.
