Florida has added a commitment to its 2026 recruiting class.

G’Nivre Carr is the newest pledge for Billy Napier and the Gators. He announced his commitment to play for Florida on Sunday.

A lineman originally from just down the road from Gainesville in Ocala, Carr plays for the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. His current listed measurements are 6-5 and 315 pounds.

On the 247Sports Composite, Carr is rated 3-stars, the No. 39 interior offensive lineman, No. 59 player in the state of Florida and No. 437 player overall in the Class of 2026.

IMG is a highly recruited program, and Carr received scholarships from 40 programs. Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Illinois, Miami, Oklahoma, Michigan, Ole Miss, USC, South Carolina, UCLA and Texas A&M were among the programs to show interest.

Carr told Hayes Fawcett of On3 that he picked Florida over Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

Carr is just the third player to commit to the Gators for 2026, joining QB Will Griffin and DL Jamir Perez. Fans who haven’t followed Carr at IMG can get a preview of what he brings to The Swamp by checking out his highlights in the video below, via Hudl:
