After appearing in only two games last year, Jean Delance’s Texas Longhorns career is over.

The massive 6-5, 310-pound offensive lineman announced on Monday that he would head to Gainesville and play for the Florida Gators.

The 4-star lineman from the 2016 recruiting class tweeted about his decision on Monday afternoon:

The Longhorns fired coach Charlie Strong after last season and hired Tom Herman, but it appears Delance felt he didn’t have a spot in the new coach’s program.

According to 247Sports, Delance was the No. 14 tackle in the class of 2016 and the No. 20 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

Delance will have to sit out the 2017 season due to NCAA transfer rules, but he’ll have three years of eligibility remaining when he can take the field in 2018.
