Florida and Georgia will face off on Saturday in a game with implications in both the SEC race and the College Football Playoff.

While both teams are coming off a bye, Florida picked up a huge road win two weeks ago at Texas. After that game, the Gators had a decision to make at quarterback after Tramell Jones Jr. filled in for an injured Aaron Philo to get the win in Austin.

With Philo back healthy, Jon Sumrall has decided to go back with Philo to get the start against Georgia as both quarterbacks got first-team reps during the week. That’s according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel:

In the game against Texas, Jones went 22-of-35 for 155 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 41 yards. However, Sumrall decided to go with the veteran against a Georgia defense that has had two weeks to think about the loss to Auburn.

On the year, Philo has thrown for 1,341 yards, nine touchdowns, and three interceptions.

The Bulldogs will put a major emphasis on stopping running back Jadan Baugh, who has rushed for 763 yards and 13 touchdowns. The Gators are going to have to make plays in the vertical passing game, and Sumrall believes that Philo is most likely to do just that.

Kickoff between the two teams is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be on ABC.
