The Florida Gators (2-0) and Auburn Tigers (2-0) kick off their nine-game SEC slate this weekend with a tussle at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Both Jon Sumrall and Alex Golesh, in year one with their school, hope to get their first conference victory on Saturday night.
Florida, heading into hostile territory, isn’t dodging any smoke. The Gators are rocking their orange helmets, white jerseys and orange pants against the Tigers.
Sumrall’s team’s tilt with Auburn is its first chance to truly prove itself in 2026. Florida easily dismantled Florida Atlantic (66-21) and Campbell (52-3) to open its season, but it’s hard to discern much from those results. Quarterback Aaron Philo played well, though, posting a combined 550 total yards and seven touchdowns across the two contests.
On the other sideline, the Tigers already have a Power 4 victory under their belt. Auburn beat Baylor 17-16 on an incredible two-point conversion stop in Week 1. Golesh and Co. followed that up with a 43-8 win vs. Southern Miss last weekend to set up this matchup of undefeated squads.
The Gators are viewed as slight road favorites over the Tigers on most betting/prediction markets. Florida and Auburn kick off at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN).
