Florida running back Jadan Baugh makes decision on future with Gators
Florida running back Jadan Baugh has decided to return to Gainesville for another season with the program, according to a report.
Per On3’s Pete Nakos, Florida has signed Baugh to a new deal for the 2026 campaign. Baugh was one of the top breakout running backs in the country this season and keeping him in the fold was a big priority for Jon Sumrall this offseason.
Baugh signed with Florida as a 4-star recruit back in the class of 2024. He quickly developed into one of the best running backs in the SEC, averaging over 5 yards per carry in each of his first 2 seasons at the college level.
In 2025, Baugh rushed for over 1,110 yards — becoming the first Florida running back since Mike Gillislee in 2012.
Baugh’s status with the Gators was in flux over the last week as he reportedly weighed options in the transfer portal. Baugh likely would have been regarded as the No. 1 transfer running back in this cycle if he had decided to leave Gainesville.
Instead, he’ll return to UF and be a focal point for Florida’s offense next season under Sumrall and new offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner.
