Florida is going for its fifth win in its last 6 games on Wednesday night against South Carolina, but the Gators will have to win without talented forward Alex Fudge.
Per college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Fudge will miss Wednesday’s game against the struggling Gamecocks.
The reason cited by Rothstein is a head injury for Fudge, who transferred from LSU to Florida prior to this season:
Florida's Alex Fudge (head) is OUT for tonight's game against South Carolina, per a school spokesman. Averages 7.5 PPG and 5.1 RPG. Gators have won four of their last five games.

Fudge has appeared in 19 games for the Gators, making 11 starts. He’s averaging 7.5 points and 5.1 rebounds in 22.6 minutes per contest.
Wednesday night’s SEC matchup in Gainesville is set to tip off at 7 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on ESPN2.
