A former Alabama defensive back who played for Florida State for a pair of seasons will now head to the Big Ten out of the transfer portal.

Earl Little has signed with Ohio State, according to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Little, a former 4-star player who was considered a top 12 cornerback in the 2022 class, started his college career with the Crimson Tide. He redshirted in 2022 and made a pair of tackles in 2023.

Little then entered the transfer portal and landed at Florida State in 2024. After 15 tackles and a sack with the Seminoles, he emerged as one of the ACC‘s top defensive players in 2025, recording 76 tackles and four interceptions while forcing two fumbles.

He’ll now spend his final year of eligibility with the Buckeyes.

Little is the sixth portal commitment of the cycle for Ohio State. So far, the Buckeyes have gained pledges from Wisconsin linebacker Christian Alliegro, UCF defensive lineman John Walker, Ohio tight end Mason Williams, and UTSA wide receiver Devin McCuin. UCF long snapper Dalton Riggs has committed as well.
