Former Alabama and Georgia wide receiver Jermaine Burton is dealing with issues on and off the field as the NFL regular season winds down.
On the field, Burton is not part of the active roster for the Cincinnati Bengals’ Saturday night game. On Cincinnati’s injury report, Burton is listed as “out” for “non-injury related – other.”
The Bengals called it a coach’s decision to not have Burton travel with the team to Pittsburgh.

Burton also has concerns off the field.
Multiple outlets discovered that records for the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts show that Burton is facing an eviction notice.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, Radius Acquistion LLC filed eviction paperwork on Christmas Eve. The company says Burton did not comply with a Dec. 17 notice to vacate his apartment in 3 days.
Burton’s landlord reportedly seeks $2,500 in rent and $75.35 per day of extended occupancy. The company seeks an additional $10,000 “for injury to the premises above and beyond ordinary wear and tear.”
On the field, Burton logged just 4 catches for 107 yards over his rookie season. He was selected No. 80 overall in Round 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft.
