Former Alabama OL D.J. Fluker wants to make the Chargers pay for releasing him

Former Alabama OL D.J. Fluker received some surprising news in March when he was released by the Los Angeles Chargers.
Though he quickly landed on his feet, signing with the New York Giants four days later, but he clearly still has some negative feelings toward his old employers.
Fluker told Giants.com on Tuesday that he’s looking forward to proving that the’s still a valuable player that the Chargers should have kept around:
“I’ve got a lot to prove,” Fluker said. “More than just being a player, just to prove the team that let me go wrong. So I’ve got a chip on my shoulder. I’m very hungry right now.”
Fluker continued, taking a shot at the Chargers, questioning their work ethic, as he said he enjoys the Giants’ offense more:
“It’s a lot better,” Fluker said. “They work a lot harder. It’s a whole lot better here as far as the plays and everything. Very similar to college actually — same terminology. Things are going a lot better and a lot more understanding of what to do — the aiming points and where to put yourself in the right position to be a better blocker — so I enjoy it.”
Fortunately for Fluker, he’ll get a chance to prove his old team wrong in Week 5 of the 2017 season, when the Chargers head east to take on the Giants at MetLife Stadium. It’s safe to say he won’t need any extra motivation that week.
