Former Alabama and Oregon offensive lineman Dallas Warmack is coming back to the SEC, as new Kentucky coach Will Stein has reportedly hired Warmack to help coach the Wildcats offensive line.

ESPN reported Sunday that Warmack, who most recently has been an offensive analyst at Oregon, is headed to Lexington to be a part of Stein’s staff. Warmack will serve as an assistant offensive line coach to Cutter Leftwich alongside fellow assistant line coach Derek Warehime.

Warmack played at Alabama from 2015-17, appearing in 16 games. He transferred to Eugene and played at Oregon from 2018-19, starting 24 of 26 games at right guard and earning third-team All-Pac 12 honors as a senior.

Warmack bounced around professionally after Oregon, including playing in the XFL before transitioning into an analyst role on the Ducks’ staff in 2024 as a graduate assistant and then as an analyst.

Stein knew Warmack well, having served on Dan Lanning’s staff together from 2024-26 – with Stein working as offensive coordinator. Stein was hired by Kentucky in December to replace Mark Stoops, who was fired by the Wildcats after 13 years at the helm and a 72-80 overall record. Stoops went 38-68 in SEC play and turned in 10-3 seasons in both 2018 and 2021 – the former helping Stoops earn SEC Coach of the Year honors.
