TJ Yeldon, a former Alabama running back and the No. 36 overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, was arrested Saturday morning on domestic violence charges.

Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office records show that Yeldon was arrested at 2:11 am CDT. He is facing 3 charges: harassment-family, interference with a domestic-violence emergency call and criminal mischief third-other. Inabinett added that, “criminal mischief in the third degree is a misdemeanor involving damage to property that does not exceed $500.”

The Baldwin County Corrections Center released Yeldon on Sunday after he posted a $2,000 bond. A potential court date for Yeldon has not yet been determined.

Yeldon, 31, played three seasons in Tuscaloosa. He racked up 1,108 rushing yards as a freshman on the Crimson Tide’s 2012 BCS National Championship team. Overall, he tallied 3,322 rushing yards, 3,816 yards from scrimmage and 39 total touchdowns at Alabama.

The Jacksonville Jaguars made Yeldon an early second-round pick in 2015. His rookie year, where he recorded 1,019 yards from scrimmage, was his most productive as a professional. He notched 2,005 rushing yards, 1,448 receiving yards and 13 total touchdowns in six seasons and made roughly $9.2 million during his NFL career, which included the 2019 and ’20 seasons with the Buffalo Bills.
